Business Treading Lightly - Shoalhaven City Council (BTL) helps businesses to become more sustainable and meet the needs of a greener economy.

BTL is back and ready to support business in the Shoalhaven and surrounding regions on a fee-for-service basis.  We have a range of services on offer. 

Everything from our membership program - that enables past business partners to continue in our BTL Reward and Recognition program - to our BTL Business Advantage package - for larger businesses that want to commit to the BTL sustainability process and begin to realise the savings.

These successes have not gone unnoticed with Business Treading Lightly winning the National Environmental Economic Innovation Award in the 2010 Economic Development Awards.

Business Treading Lightly can help your business become more sustainable through our proven methodology.  Once you have decided that you want to be part of the BTL program, our Sustainability Officer will conduct a BTL Snapshot and Site Inspection.  Together we will use this information to create an action plan specific to your business.  The BTL Sustainability Officer will support you through your first year by which time you should start to see tangible savings.

NEW PARTNERSHIPS - NEW OPPORTUNITIES

BTL are pleased to announce that they have teamed up a Registered Training Organisation.  This partnership means that BTL Business Partners will be able to access Nationally Accredited Sustainability training.  Businesses that go through the BTL process have met many of the requirements of the training and this partnership means that you will now be able to access National Recognition for your staff.  We have access to a wide range of training options that can lead to your staff receiving Statements of Attainment in courses as varied as Frontline Business Management, Tourism and even Manufacturing.
